The Great Wall

Finally I can make it. Indeed, last Saturday, the university organized a free trip to the Great Wall. We visited the site of Mutianyu is located 70 km northwest of Beijing. When I came to China two years ago, I went to Badaling which is the attraction of the Great Wall. Still impressive, however, I much preferred Mutianyu this year fewer people and a great environment. The weather was with us and we enjoyed a beautiful blue sky throughout the walk.

The Great Wall of China was built between the 3rd century BC and the 17th century to defend the border of China’s invasion of the North. The Great Wall is over 6,000 km long, is the largest structure built by man in length and mass.
